A windy day in Tottori

Welcome to Kyoto!

In the two years that I've been here, I've been fortunate enough to spend my long weekends with the great JETs I've met in the north of the Prefecture, visiting all the small towns from here to Kyoto City, and even some a little further afield. This picture was taken recently on a crisp, clear day in the sand dunes of Tottori, my hat nearly carried off by the warm breeze blowing across the sand.

When I'm not packing up the Daihatsu Move for a little road trip, I'm taking karate, hiking, pruning my habaņero bushes or reading Antillais French novels on my fluffy futon with a cup of macha and a warm blanket.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the next KAJET event!

Kyoto is THE place to be is it not?!? Eric Hawkinson here, I hail from the desert of Arizona and am now in the city of Miyazu. Miyazu is about 2-3 hours north of Kyoto city and it sits next to the beaches of Amanohashidate. I will be doing my best to get all of us inaka folks organized and having a good time. Even if you are not in the Tango area let us know if you feel like getting out of the city to tan in the summer or ski/snowboard in the winter.
